The brief
What had to change
Sky Production Services provided studios, post-production, content services, client services and editorial compliance across Sky’s channels. Running it meant keeping a large, round-the-clock operation performing while the facilities and technology underneath it were being replaced.
Alongside running the department, I oversaw the creation of Sky Studios and was a senior member of the team that moved Sky News onto new infrastructure in a new building.

Why it matters
What it shows
My Sky career also included more than sixteen years running Sky Sports Operations, including the UK’s first HD broadcast, pioneering live 3D sports coverage and interactive TV. That background in live output is what made it possible to move a news channel without it ever leaving the air.
