The brief

What had to change

Content Supply Simplification was a strategic programme to simplify how content moves through ITV, transforming the processes and systems that take it from planning through to distribution.

Because the supply chain touches every part of the business, the programme was run from the Transformation Management Office and had to hold the support of every division, from production to distribution, rather than any single department.

The work

What was delivered

  • Operational and technology change led end to end
  • Processes and ways of working redesigned
  • Alignment held across all ITV divisions
  • Programme governance run through the Transformation Management Office

Why it matters

What it shows

Simplifying a supply chain is as much about agreement as engineering. The hard part is getting divisions with different priorities to accept one way of working, and keeping that agreement in place while the change is delivered.
